A Moment Between the Notes

This summer marks a moment of transition and genuine excitement for the Museum of Making Music. In July, Katherine Palmer joins us as the Museum's next Executive Director. She comes to us from the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum with a remarkable record of museum leadership and a deep belief in music's power to connect people across generations and cultures. She is exactly the kind of leader this moment calls for, and we cannot wait to introduce her to the MoMM community.
Meanwhile, the Museum is very much in motion. New exhibitions are being planned, programs are thriving, and a new website is in the works that will make it easier to explore, plan, and connect. Visitor satisfaction has never been higher, and our community keeps growing.
All of this matters deeply to the NAMM Foundation. The Museum is a pillar of our work, and it carries a unique charge: to welcome anyone curious about music and send them home more connected to it. To tell the stories behind the instruments, the innovations, and the people who have shaped the sounds we love. To be a place where you slow down, listen, and wonder.
