Artifact Donations
The Museum of Making Music is dedicated to celebrating the history and impact of the music products industry. As a collecting institution, we focus on acquiring and exhibiting musical instruments and related objects that have significantly influenced music-making, driven innovation in manufacturing, or marked pivotal shifts in consumer behavior.
Our collection includes a wide range of items—musical instruments, accessories, technologies, select sheet music, recordings, and ephemera—that align with the Museum’s mission.
At this time, the Museum is not accepting donations of pianos, player pianos, organs, autoharps, sheet music, or recorded music. We appreciate your understanding and continued support as we curate a collection that best serves our mission and available space.
