The Museum's Fieldtrip Programs take guests on a musical exploration of the people, historical events and innovations that influenced music making and musical instruments. Led by a trained facilitator, students embark on creative thinking adventure through the instruments on display, sound and video clips, and an interactive activity. Field trips are open to students of all ages and tours are customized based upon grade level or group need.
To qualify for the museum's Title One Fieldtrip program, you must meet all of the following criteria:
Your school is part of one of the following districts:
While we wish we could welcome all students to the Museum at no charge, our funding limits the number of students that can participate. By limiting the program to third grade, we can impact a new group of students each year. The selected districts are located in North San Diego County and are in close proximity to the Museum. If you do not meet the above criteria you are still welcome to book a field trip with your own transportation and will receive a group admission rate.
Please note that the Museum of Making Music is currently closed for renovation.
