Congratulations to the Volunteer Class of 2026
As school begins for so many, MoMM school has just ended for our 2026 volunteer class, who have spent their summer training to become Gallery Attendants, Store Cashiers and so much more for us here at the Museum of Making Music.
Over the past several months, these dedicated individuals dove deep into the history of the music products industry and learned the stories behind the instruments, exhibits and innovations that fill MoMM’s galleries. They studied how to welcome visitors, guide tours, answer questions and create the kind of warm, engaging experience that keeps people coming back. From mastering the point-of-sale system in our store to learning the finer details of our current exhibitions, they tackled every challenge with enthusiasm and genuine curiosity.
After more than 60 hours of training, we celebrated their hard work with a graduation ceremony on August 19. Surrounded by fellow volunteers, staff and mentors, they marked the culmination of a summer of learning and growth. They are now officially ready to work at MoMM and share stories with our visitors.
