Welcome to the Museum of Making Music

The Museum of Making Music tells the story of how instruments are made, sold, and played, and how music has shaped the last century of American life. Our galleries are hands-on. You can pick up a guitar, sit at a drum kit, or try an instrument you have never played before. We are located in Carlsbad, California, and we are a program of the NAMM Foundation.
