Scholarships Available
Created in honor of Gordon Grubbs, the North Coast Strings’ longtime and much-loved cello coach, the Gordon Grubbs Scholarship offers adults (ages 21 and older) the chance to begin or return to music-making. Whether you have never played an instrument before or it has been years since you last held one, this scholarship opens the door to becoming part of the North Coast Strings program.
The heart of this scholarship is access for all. No adult should be prevented from experiencing the joy, community, and health benefits of making music because of financial barriers. Scholarship funds can help qualified applicants cover program dues, instrument rentals, or other participation costs—ensuring that anyone with the desire to make music has the opportunity to do so.
