Hours of Operation:
The Museum is available for school fieldtrips Tuesday through Sunday from 10 AM - 5 PM. The Museum is closed to school groups on major U.S. holidays, including: New Year's Day (January 1), Independence Day (July 4), Thanksgiving Day (fourth Thursday in November) and Christmas Day (December 25).
Scheduling:
Tours and fieldtrips must be scheduled at least 2 weeks in advance.
Fieldtrip Length:
Groups of 25-30 students should allow at least 1 hour and 30 minutes of time to complete a tour of the museum. Larger groups should allow for longer durations.

Admission Prices:
- $5 - General Tour Admission
- $3 - Students Tour Admission (age 4 to 18)
Bus drivers and educators receive complimentary admission as well as 1 complimentary chaperone admission per 5 students.

Directions:
The Museum of Making Music is located about 30 miles north of downtown San Diego.
From San Diego:
- Take Interstate 5 north to Carlsbad.
- Exit at Palomar Airport Road and turn east (right).
- Proceed through the Paseo del Norte intersection.
- Turn left at Armada Drive.
From Orange County:
- Take Interstate 5 south to Carlsbad.
- Exit at Palomar Airport Road and turn east (left).
- Proceed through the Paseo del Norte intersection.
- Turn left at Armada Drive.
