Hours of Operation:
The Museum is open to tour groups Tuesday through Sunday from 10 AM - 5 PM. The Museum is closed on Mondays and on major U.S. holidays, including: New Year's Day (January 1), Independence Day (July 4), Thanksgiving Day (fourth Thursday in November) and Christmas Day (December 25).
Scheduling:
Please schedule your group tour at least 2 weeks in advance.
Tour Length:
Groups of 25-30 individuals should allow at least 1 hour and 30 minutes of time to complete a tour of the museum. Larger groups should allow for longer durations.

Directions:
The Museum of Making Music is located about 30 miles north of downtown San Diego.
From San Diego:
- Take Interstate 5 north to Carlsbad.
- Exit at Palomar Airport Road and turn east (right).
- Proceed through the Paseo del Norte intersection.
- Turn left at Armada Drive.
From Orange County:
- Take Interstate 5 south to Carlsbad.
- Exit at Palomar Airport Road and turn east (left).
- Proceed through the Paseo del Norte intersection.
- Turn left at Armada Drive.
