Make an impact on the Museum by giving a tax-deductable donation. Because NAMM, our parent organization, covers most of our basic operational costs, the Museum is responsible for raising funds for exhibitions, education, general programming, artifact storage, preservation and collection, and other museum activities. So what does this mean to you? - 100% of your donation will go directly to our programs and exhibitions
- Your donation will not be spent on staff salaries or benefits
- Your donation will not be used to “keep the lights on”
- Your donation will have a DIRECT impact on the community

Support Opportunities Since all staff costs are covered by NAMM, 100% of your donation goes directly to the project or program of your choice. Current funding needs include: $50,000 - Special Exhibition
Your gift of $50,000 would fund the development and construction of a special exhibition. Opportunities are available for donor input regarding exhibition subject, design and programming.
$15,000 – Elementary School Partnership
Your gift of $15,000 would fund the development of an inclusive special needs music program with a local elementary school. This program would be brought to the school and also transport special needs students to the Museum.
$5,000 – Youth Guitar Workshop
Your gift of $5,000 would fund a youth guitar workshop for 25 underprivileged or low-income youth. The workshop includes beginning lessons and each participant will also play and keep their own brand new acoustic guitar.
$3,000 – Museum Concert
Your gift of $3,000 would pay for a public performance at the Museum of Making Music. Concerts typically have an admission fee so concert revenue will be directed back into public programming.
$1,000 – Various Project Support
Your gift of $1,000 would fund any of the following options:
• Fall Film Series
• Music Ventures tour for 60 students
• Science of Sound Presentation
Gifts under $1000 will be applied to the general Museum fund. These donations help support ongoing educational initiatives that also touch our community.
