On Friday, April 5, 2013 the Museum of Making Music presents its popular Local Flavor Concert Series, combining up-and-coming artists from across Southern California in an intimate concert setting with local food and drink generously sponsored by Stone Brewing Company, Flippin' Pizza, and Knockout Pizza. This concert event will feature the gritty outlaw rock of The Tilt.
The Tilt, a San Diego-based quintet, plays Southern blues, country and folk, with a touch of classic rock, a la Led Zeppelin.
The Tilt band is creating new music and original songs with a fresh new sound of organic Rock and Blues. They are a youthful but experienced band fronted by singer Jesse Malley and guitarist Jeff Irwin. The Tilt delivers live as well as in the studio and continues to maintain a do-it-yourself approach to writing, recording, and releasing original songs. Their debut album is set for early 2013.

"Fronted by singer Jesse Malley and guitarist Jeff Irwin, San Diego-based quintet The Tilt plays a terrific mix of Southern blues, country and folk, with a touch of classic rock, a la Led Zeppelin.
Its recent batch of recordings show the group to be superb musicians, with Irwin's stinging guitar lines a perfect match for Malley's sultry, passionate vocals. As good as those recordings are, The Tilt is even better live, with a wonderfully eclectic set that can include mandolin-led tunes such as "Restless" or country slide-guitar workout "Oil Man" — all played with equal ease."
Stone Brewing doesn’t just make beer; we make craft beer. That means we’re Independently owned, comparatively small, and use authentic brewing methods and ingredients. We focus exclusively on making distinctive, high-quality beers that have become synonymous with San Diego County.
Furthermore, Stone has been recognized by the industry’s leading voices as one of the top brewers in the world. BeerAdvocate Magazine, a highly respected craft beer publication and website, named Stone “All-Time Top Brewery On Planet Earth”—twice. RateBeer.com, a highly trafficked beer enthusiast website, has named Stone Brewing Co. to their “Top 10 Breweries” in the world list 10 years in a row—making Stone the only brewery to earn that honor.
Stone Brewing is one of the principle originators and leaders of the “West Coast”-style of brewing, which is known for big-character and aggressive hoppiness (bitterness). This style has inspired small brewers all over the world to create similarly styled beers. We are honored by the recognition and have often been inspired in return.

For 105 years, Knockout Pizza & Flippin’ Pizza has served authentic, hand-tossed, NY-style pizza to people like you. Well, sort of. See our pizza is 105 years old. No, that’s not right either.
It’s like this—the year is 1903, the Model T was just invented, Teddy Roosevelt was in the White House, and pizza had just come to America. Real pizza. The kind we imagine hungry dock-workers ate, or delivery boys on the run, or those guys who built those big NY skyscrapers, they ate this kind of slice. So what’s that got to do with Flippin’ Pizza and Knockout Pizza? Because that’s the kind of pizza we stand here and make every day. A real, honest pie. An old-school, ‘I’m from Brooklyn and you’re not’ pizza. A New York original, since 2007.
